Spending few hours picking blueberries with friends in the forest would have already been highlight of the day, until another great thing came.
She, an old lady, stepped towards me and started speaking in Finnish.
With all Finnish skills I had, I spoke to her, tried to understand what she wanted with that €20 bill in her hands.
“Do you want to buy our berries? Do you want to change to smaller money? Do you want us to buy something from the market?” Etc.
I gave all kind of possible ideas, but all I got back from her was No No No.
Until…
She said it’s a wonderful summer, it’s a beautiful day, and this money was for everyone here.
She put the bill into my hands.
She gave me a big hug and said goodbye. She looked happy.
We were left there with surprise, smiles and a story to tell everyone.
The End.
